WCAT X DUST AND DANCE
This year we are working with a brand new charity, Wouldn't Change A Thing! We are very excited to be working with this Charity and so much so we've got a brand new Charity glitter mix!
It all started with a little video created for World Down Syndrome Day 2018 that took social media by storm with the likes of James Corden and other celebrities sharing online. The video was called '50 Mums | 50 Kids | 1 Extra Chromosome'. It became one of the most popular not-for-profit videos of all time racking up 450 million views to date and popularising the hashtag #wouldntchangeathing.
It made such a positive impact on modernising mainstream perceptions of Down's syndrome, that a group of people involved decided to set up WCAT (Wouldn't Change A Thing) to continue the mission 💙💛
It has now grown to include a multi-skilled, passionate group of people from all over the world. They are trying to achieve a world where negative and outdated perceptions on Down's syndrome are a thing of the past and they do this by creating and promoting projects designed to directly challenge these outdated perceptions. Their projects are devised to be; uplifting, emotive and positive whilst offering insights into how enjoyable life is for all those associated with the condition.
WCAT's intent is to leave those who view their work feeling challenged and changed making them more willing to accept those with Down's syndrome and to consider them as valid members of society, as schoolmates, work colleagues and as employees.

Hollie Gazzard Trust (2019)
In 2019, we were supporting a charity called the 'Hollie Gazzard Trust'. We developed a glitter with them called 'Hollie'. 50 Pence from every pot sold went straight to the charity. Find more about the Hollie Gazzard Trust below.
"When Hollie Gazzard was horrifically murdered in Gloucester on 18th February 2014, her family wanted something positive to come out of their tragic loss. So that same year her parents Nick and Mandy, and her sister Chloe set up the Hollie Gazzard Trust to give opportunities to others. The Trust works tirelessly to reduce domestic abuse, domestic violence, stalking and knife crime through a number of initiatives. While Hollie’s family are still devastated by her untimely death, and unable to change the events of that fateful day, they hope that the funds raised through the Hollie Gazzard Trust will help others find a better future and reach their potential. The Trust relies on the generosity of the individuals and companies that support it and hold a number of official fundraising initiatives each year."
The Hollie Gazzard Trust are also constantly working on and updating their own app - Hollie Guard, which turns your mobile into a safety device should you ever be faced with danger!
"Hollie Guard turns your smartphone into a personal safety device. In danger? Shake your phone or tap the screen to generate an alert. Your location and audio/video evidence will automatically be sent to your emergency contacts who can take action to help you quickly."
The HOLLIE glitter contains chunky, medium and fine colours in violet, hot pink and silver - the charity colours!
